Our officers
The officers of the Hospice Lotteries Association are all drawn from member hospices, bringing real everyday hospice lottery experience directly into the association’s management team.

Garth Caswell – Chairman
Garth is the Commercial Manager for Ty Hafan, The Family Hospice for Young Lives in Barry near Cardiff and is responsible for the lottery and a chain of 18 retail shops. Garth started the lottery in 1998 which has now grown to 38000 members with an annual income of over £2m. He represents the Association at the Gambling Commission, Lotteries Council, Help the Hospices and Governmental Departments and advises members on lottery related business issues, as well as legislative and licensing matters.

Anthony Lord – Director with responsibility for Website, Marketing and PR
Anthony joined St Ann's in 2003 after spending 13 years with McDonald's. As the General Manager of the St Ann's Hospice Trading Company, he is responsible of all commercial income generation including the Lottery. St Ann's currently have 14 shops and are actively looking to expand. Their Lottery is nearly 17 years old and has around 15,500 members.

Liz Singleton – Director
Liz Singleto njoined LOROS in 1996 just two months after her Mum died in the hospice and has watched the LOROS Lottery grow from nothing to a playing membership of nearly 22,000. LOROS now has over 100 collectors across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland who collect from approximately a third of the membership. More recent innovations at the LOROS Lottery include converting to direct debit, introducing scratch cards and a very successful telesales campaign to reinstate lapsed members and offer a second number. The introduction of a Bumper Draw from the new millennium has also been a particular success.
