Terms and Conditions of HLA membership
Conditions of Membership Members of the Hospice Lotteries Association (the Association) agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
Operate a legal lottery
To directly operate and manage a society lottery in accordance with all lawful and legislative requirements.
Changes to Application of Membership Details
To disclose to the Association any material changes that affect the overall
management of, or operation of, the society lottery from those detailed
on the Application of Membership
Confidentiality
To maintain at all times confidentiality relating to all Association business matters. Discussion with and/or disclosure of any Association business to any third party should be agreed in advance with the Chair of the Association.
Conduct
To ensure that the member lottery’s conduct and those of its Officers should maintain the highest level of professional conduct and at no time bring the Association into disrepute.
Decisions
To abide by the Association’s decisions and opinions when representing, or being party to, the Association’s business matters particularly when these are in the public domain.
Subscriptions
To promptly pay the non-refundable subscriptions as may be set from time to time by the Association.
Attendance
Endeavour to attend two out of every three meetings on a rolling basis.
Confirmation of attendance to the Secretary.
Alternates and Continuity
To provide a suitable alternate representative if the usual representative is absent.
Apologies for Absence
To provide apologies for absence in advance.
Participation
To participate fairly and equitably in the execution of Association business.
Hosting
To host Association meetings from time to time.
Costs
To fund the member’s own costs when attending Association meetings,
plus £10 per head per meeting for lunch and refreshments sent with
confirmation of attendance slip to the Secretary.
